MULTI-STORY MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT
PROJECT DESIGN
Morris-Shea installed 2,980 DeWaal piles as a rigid inclusion deep foundation for the initial construction phase of a seven story mixed-use building in Everett, MA. The structure at 1690 Revere Beach Parkway will include retail, restaurant and living spaces. The Morris-Shea team utilized Fundex F3500 and F2200 drill rigs, including one with a unique clamping system at the top of the mast, for installation of continuous drilled DeWaal rigid inclusions ranging in depths up to 132 feet. The rigid inclusions are topped with a load transfer platform to further disperse the structure’s load.
